Victoria Falls (Most-oa-Tunya – the ‘smoke that thunders) is one of Africa’s original blockbusters that borders two countries, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
It’s the largest, most beautiful and most majestic fall I’ve been privileged to witness and is the Seventh Natural Wonder of the World as well as being UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I’ve arrived when the falls were at full force and the spray generated was immense.
When David Livingstone (the famous Explorer) first approached the falls from the Zambezi River he quoted ‘Gazed Upon by Angels in Their Flight’. The spray ballooned hundreds of feet into the air and was difficult to witness up close.
I opted for a helicopter ride to ‘Gazed Upon by Angels in Their Flight’ and Livingstone had described it perfectly.
